Year 12 Graduation Mass
The Year 12 Graduation Mass celebrated by Father Vince was a fitting farewell for our students and their families.
At this Mass one of our students, Kenan Fonseka responded to the Gospel. His response was insightful and exemplified the characteristics that, as a staff, we aspire to instill in our students after six years at St Edward’s College.
The music provided by the students and our music staff was of the highest quality and provided much joy for those in attendance. During supper, after Mass, a wonderful convivial atmosphere prevailed in the foyer of the ERC as students, parents and the staff mingled. A highlight of the night was the rendition of the College song which will live long in the memory of our graduating class. For the first time there was a parent/staff choir who sang two songs as a gift to the students. A big thank you to all those who contributed to this delightful occasion.
Mr Beacroft
Director of Mission

Make a Wave
Surf Aid - St Edward's Surfers
In a remarkable display of community spirit and a shared love for the ocean, the St Edward's surfers have come together to raise an impressive $9,281 for SurfAid's Make A Wave initiative. With just over a week left in the month, our goal is to reach $10,000 to support the incredible work that SurfAid does?
Whilst raising $10,000 would be a remarkable achievement, the St Edward’s Surfers understand that every dollar raised goes towards the incredible work that SurfAid does to improve the lives of those living in remote coastal communities by providing access to clean water, healthcare and education.
If you’d like to make a donation to the group, please do so by clicking on the link below:

Year 12 Farewell Assembly
What a fitting conclusion to the six-year journey of our graduating class of 2023.
The entire school community recognised and bid farewell to Year 12 with a standing ovation as they walked through the College towards the ERC. In the ERC, Year 11 greeted them with a guard of honor before the commencement of the Farewell Assembly.
During the Assembly first and second place awards were presented for each subject and the special memorial awards were announced at the conclusion of the Assembly. Congratulations to Troy Duncan who earned the prestigious title of College Dux, and Zane Smith who was honoured as Sportsperson of the Year, two coveted distinctions well-deserved by exceptional students. Please see the program below for first and second place recipients and the special memorial awards.
We extend our sincerest wishes to all students and their families for success in the upcoming weeks and months. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the remarkable accomplishments of these young men in the future.

Under 16’s Rugby Sevens
The Under 16’s Rugby Sevens team travelled to Granville to compete in the NSW State Finals.
The team showed a lot of character to play against quality opposition and performed with courage in the face of adversity, due to the withdrawal of two players to illness. Although the results didn’t go their way, each game was a tough contest and the boys played with enjoyment and passion.
Thank you to Mr Summerhayes, Mr Reynolds and Mr Carpenter for the support and everyone who contributed to such a great day of rugby.

Under 14’s Futsal
The St Edward's Futsal team travelled to Windsor to compete against all other area winners from NSW.
The first game saw St Edward's drawn against Glenwood High School. A tough match to start with, but the boys hit the ground running with a 3-1 win. Jacob Hall and Vin Romano both getting goals.
Next in the pool was Edmund Rice College. The boys were excellent against a good team, but two late goals saw St Edward's go down 1-3.
Third in the draw was Belmore Boys High who proved too big and strong for St Edward's and we slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat in a hard-fought loss.
Zeke Worral was a standout against St John XXIII College and assisted the opening goal for a dominant 1-0 lead. However, we conceded two goals late in the game and couldn’t recover.
The last pool game was against the Mamre Anglican College. This was easily our best performance for the tournament. Krishay Jamnadas was exceptional at the back, with help from Knox O’Connor and Phelix de Vries. Despite our excellent play, the opposition profited in a late flurry to record a 2-1 win.
Although we didn’t advance to the knockout rounds, the boys played with good spirit and represented the College in excellent fashion.
