Academic Awards Ceremony
On Tuesday December 13, we took time to celebrate the academic success and wonderful gifts and talents of our boys at St Edward’s. The Awards ceremony is designed to acknowledge the application and effort of boys in Years 7-11 throughout the year. Students received awards for Consistent Effort, Academic Achievement and Outstanding Academic Achievement. Boys are nominated to receive these awards by their teachers, and students who receive an Outstanding Academic Achievement have been nominated by most, if not all, of their teachers.
Students also received awards in a range of categories including Public Speaking and Debating, Service Learning, Leadership, University of Newcastle Awards for excellence in Science and Mathematics, Sportsman of the Year Award, Innovation and Persistence.
Congratulations to all award winners on their application and effort throughout the year. These boys have challenged themselves to be the best they can be and should feel very proud of their achievements. The following students were the recipients of the major awards.
