On Friday 31 March, 12 students from St Edward’s represented Broken Bay at the NSWCCC Swimming Championships, held at SOPAC, Homebush.

The students were:
Under 13 Billy McCarthy, Logan Atherton
Under 14 Julian Tagaoi, Shaylan Bennett
Under 15 Tahj Regattieri, Lucas Jarman, Eden Pearson
Under 16 Lachlan Bunney, Cooper Jones, Archie Carpenter
17+ Jayden Redfern, and Kale Puata
Highlights included:
- Tahj Regattieri Under 15’s winning Gold in both the 50 m (30.05 sec) & 100 m (1.03.23 min) Backstroke events.
- Our Intermediate Medley Relay team of (Tahj Regattieri – Backstroke, Lucas Jarman – Breaststroke, Lachlan Bunney – Butterfly and Archie Carpenter – Freestyle) claiming a Silver medal in a time of 2.00.23 min.
Other results included:
- Junior (4th), Intermediate (5th), and Senior (6th) teams placing in the 4 x 50m Freestyle Relays.
- Senior Medley Relay team placing 6
- Jayden Redfern (17 & over) placing 17th (50 m Freestyle), 8th (100 m Backstroke and 100 m Freestyle), 9th (50 m Breaststroke)
- Lachlan Bunney (Under 16) placing 8th (50 m Freestyle, 50 m Butterfly and 100 m Freestyle) and 5th (100 m Butterfly)
- Tahj Regattieri (Under 15) placing 9th (50 m Freestyle), and 5th (50 m Butterfly).
- Lucas Jarman (Under 15) placing 5th (200 m Freestyle), 8th (50 m Breaststroke) and 4th (200 m Individual Medley)
Congratulations to our medallists as a part of the NSWCCC Team, who now progress to the NSW All Schools Swimming Carnival at SOPAC, Homebush on 1 and 2 June 2023.
