Students explored diverse mediums and themes, demonstrating a deep understanding of their chosen artistic practices.
One of the highlights of the exhibition was the use of expressive forms such as textiles, ceramics, and photography. Textile artists crafted intricate tapestries and garments that told stories through color, texture, and pattern. Ceramic works ranged from delicate sculptures to functional pieces, showcasing the students’ mastery of form and glaze. Photographers captured powerful images that challenged perceptions and evoked emotions. The use of Graphic Design was strong, with pieces including an entire book written and illustrated by one of the senior students.
The display also featured a variety of traditional art forms, including painting and drawing. Students experimented with different styles and techniques showcasing their range of subject matter – exploring themes such as identity, nature, and social issues.
The boys are to be congratulated on the high level of polish and quality of their work. They have demonstrated remarkable perseverance to continue the same level of dedication across an entire school year – well done, boys, St. Edward’s community is proud of you.
