On 5 June, the Under 14 A Futsal team competed in the Central Coast Futsal Championships. The first game was an easy win against one of the Central Coast Sports College teams, setting us up well for the day by winning 3 out of 4 games.
Moving into the quarter-finals, we faced one of the top teams from Central Coast Sports College and won quite comfortably. In the semi-finals, we challenged the strongest team, the Central Coast Sports College A team, and unfortunately lost 3-0.
It was a great day. Special thanks to Mrs Worrall and Mr Ellis for dedicating their time to train us and take us to the event.
On Wednesday, 5 June, our Under 14 B Futsal team went to Niagara Park Stadium to compete in a Futsal tournament against several schools, including Narrabeen High School, Central Coast Sports College, Wyong High School, and Terrigal High School. We had a team of 8 boys from Years 8 and 9 competing on the day.
In our first round, we played against Central Coast Sports College. Despite initially trailing 2-0, we fought back and secured a well-deserved 4-2 win against a strong side.
Our second game was against Terrigal High School, which we comfortably won 2-0, giving us confidence for the upcoming matches.
In the third game, we faced another strong Central Coast Sports College team and unfortunately lost 4-0. Overall, it wasn’t a bad result considering the opposition’s strength.
In our final group game against Wyong High School, we lost 3-0, narrowly missing out on the quarter finals by just one goal difference. Nonetheless, we had a fantastic day together and bonded well as a team.
