This Friday activities program is working on developing student confidence, achieving personal set goals, and learning skills as they work with different people and horses. Students have learnt how to approach, read and groom a horse; work in teams to create challenge obstacles and then lead a horse through it; work with a variety of horses such as miniature horses, brumby and quarter horses to problem solve and care for a horse. Each student had a favourite horse and spent time feeding the horses. We have decided to continue with the program this term and there are even some Year 9 students trialling it.
