Heavy rain and thunderstorms delayed the start of the day and the carnival. Gosford pool staff were charged with deciding on when we could be in the pool, when to get out and how long to stay out. Eventually we got the carnival started, at times it was stop/start, we had to be creative in our organisation, but in the end, we ran enough events to select our team for the Broken Bay (BBSSSA) carnival on Monday 21 March.

Due to the constant interruptions throughout the day, our Under 16’s and Open’s teams were decided amongst the Age Groups and only races for Relay positions were contested.
A big thank you to the staff in attendance on the day for their adaptability and composure in tough conditions. I’d also like to thank the boys for their wonderful behaviour and attitude in dealing with the conditions on the day.
