College Athletics Carnival

Our Athletics Carnival was run and won on Monday 27 June at Adcock Park. The weather held out for us, and the day was bathed in blue skies for most of the day, aside from the wind and the ever-present chill of the venue.

The day was a resounding success with many outstanding results and achievements. Highlights for the day included:

  • The behaviour and participation of all students in attendance
  • Riley Schroder in Year 7 running the 400 m to the cheers of the entire crowd down the home strait.
  • Lincoln Markulin in Year 10 breaking the Under 16’s Javelin record with a new mark of 46.10m.
  • Zane Smith in Year 11 challenging the Opens High Jump record of 1.92m and narrowly missing on his three attempts.
  • Knight House completing a clean sweep of the Relay races to the raucous cheers of an enthusiastic crowd.

We also crowned the following Age Champions:

Second Place Oliver Craik Spillane
Third Place Brendan Lin Spillane

Under 13’s   

First Place Zach Scaysbrook Spillane
Second Place Liam Smith Doolan
Third Place Joel Washington Knights

Under 14’s   

First Place Kallum Moggs Knights
Second Place Riley Carmody-Smith Knights
Third Place Eden Pearson Shanahan

 Under 15’s   

First Place Keanu Wells Knights
Second Place Cooper Jones Knights
Third Place Deakin Wright Doolan

Under 16’s   

First Place Christopher Rae Knights
Second Place Marlen Wilson Shanahan
Third Place Lincoln Markulin Knights

Under Opens’s   

First Place Aymn Hamilton Spillane
Second Place Thomas Lawton Doolan
Third Place Marley Medina Doolan

Overall, Knights House were crowned the 2022 Athletics Champions on 994 points from Spillane 901, Shanahan 751, and Doolan on 677.
