Years 7 to 12 Student Led Conferences
The Year 7 to 12 Student Led Conferences for parents/carers and students for Term One will be held across two dates: Friday 28 March 2025 (Week 8) from 9.00am to 3.00pm – these conferences will be held face-to-face on-site at St Edward’s College. Teachers will be in designated rooms throughout the College – a map including this information will be sent out before the conference date. Students from the Prefect body will be on-site to help guide parents/carers in finding their way around the College. No classes are scheduled for the day as students will be required to attend the Learning Conferences with their parents and carers. Students who do not have scheduled Learning Conferences are to remain at home. Wednesday 2 April 2025 (Week 9) from 4.00pm to 7:30pm – these conferences will be held online via Microsoft Teams. Teachers will call the students on their Microsoft Teams account at the scheduled booking time. It is preferable that students use their school laptop for this. Microsoft Teams meetings will not be recorded by teaching staff, and we request that parents and students not record meetings either. Student Led Conferences are an important opportunity for parents and teachers to meet with students and discuss their learning reflections and goals for the future, while giving feedback and suggestions on ways in which they can improve. Due to this, it is expected that students are present for the conferences. Parents/carers will be able to book appointments for the online afternoon/evening or the face-to-face conferences. All interviews will be of seven minutes duration. If you are attending the face-to-face conferences at the College, it is recommended that you leave a gap in between each booking – this will allow for movement around the College and will ensure you can attend each booking on time. The Student Led Conference bookings are managed with an internet-based booking system called Parent Teacher Online (PTO) – now also called “Booked”. The steps to access PTO are outlined below. Once completed, you will receive an email from PTO allowing you to book interviews with your son’s teachers whom you wish to see. Please note that bookings are limited. Access to PTO will be available from Thursday 20 March 2025 at 7:00pm and will be closed off for bookings two days before interviews. If you encounter any problems using PTO, please contact the school office on 4321 6400. Please follow these steps to access the system: Click here go to the PTO website Click on “Obtain PIN/Password” (you will need to supply your email address) Enter your email address and click on “Send Email” Check your email in-box for your login details or click on the link in the email Go back to the PTO website, login with the details supplied via email Follow the online instructions to complete the bookings. Adventure and Exploration at Year 9 Camp
The Year 9 Camp to Wee Jasper proved to be an immensely enjoyable experience for students and staff. The students exhibited commendable behaviour throughout and pushed themselves to engage in many activities outside of their comfort zone, in particular caving and abseiling. With the weather favouring the occasion, being warm and dry, much of the downtime was spent along the banks of the tranquil Goodradigbee River that meandered nearby the campsite. The array of activities provided a diverse and enriching experience for all and were appreciated by all. [foogallery id="59243"]

Fun and Friendship at Year 7 Camp
On Wednesday, 19 February, Year 7 students embarked on their inaugural College camp. The boys had only begun their school journey a few weeks prior to departure, making their eagerness and readiness to participate commendable. Over the course of three days, the boys encountered a range of weather conditions while engaging in various activities. During tent setup, the heat was intense, requiring a few adjustments.  Nonetheless, all students persevered, diligently applying sunscreen and preparing for a packed afternoon of activities. The activities encompassed Abseiling, Flying Fox, Leap of Faith, Burma Bridge, Raft Building, Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, Slingshot, Canoeing, and Orienteering. Witnessing each student overcome personal challenges with determination was truly inspiring. The primary goal of this camp was to foster connections and a sense of belonging within their new year group. I encouraged all students to forge new friendships during the three days, hoping they embraced this opportunity. Bringing together students from diverse educational backgrounds marked a heartening start to their high school journey. Mr Marks Year 7 Pastoral Leader   [foogallery id="58313"]
