Congratulations to Jonte Wicks in Year 11 who was recently selected to officiate at the School Sport Australia – Under 15 Hockey Championships. Jonte has officiated recently at the CSNSW and NSW All Schools events. He will travel to the Gold Coast from July 26 to Aug 3 for the event.

NSW All Schools Swimming Carnival

One of our biggest contingent of swimmers headed to SOPAC, Homebush to contest the NSW All Schools Championships. All the best swimmers across NSW converged for the two-day event.

The Thursday 30 May was the team and distance events. Our teams did a fantastic job against the best teams from CHS and CIS, with the following results:

  • Junior (12-14 years) 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay 7th – (Logan Atherton, Cooper Stark, Kaiden Regattieri and Billy McCarthy)
  • All Age Relay (12-17+ years) 6 x 50m Freestyle Relay 9th – (Will Tritton, Riley Herring, Billy McCarthy, Cruz Tucker, Eden Pearson and Lachlan Bunney)
  • Intermediate Medley Relay (15 and 16 years) 8th – Tahj Regattieri (Backstroke), Harry Rutherford (Butterfly), Cruz Tucker (Breaststroke) and Eden Pearson (Freestyle),

Tahj Regattieri

Friday 31 May was the individual events. We had Tahj Regattieri (Under 16) competing across a range events. His results included:

  • 100m Backstroke 6th
  • 100m Butterfly 8th
  • 50m Backstroke 8th
  • 200m Backstroke 9th
  • 50m Butterfly 7th

CSNSW Cross Country

We had 10 students selected in the CSBB Cross Country team. Unfortunately for various reasons we only had 5 boys run in the CSNSW Cross Country Championships at the Sydney Equestrian Centre on Wednesday 5 June.

Asher Armstrong

Our results included:

  • Under 13 Fraser Boake (47)
  • Under 14 Billy McCarthy (26)
  • Under 16 Eden Pearson (26)
  • Under 17 Riley Turner (15)

The highlight of the day was Asher Armstrong (Under 16) who ran a great race to place 8th and gain selection in the CSNSW team. Asher now progresses to the NSW All Schools at the Sydney Equestrian Centre on Friday 26 July.
