Students were tasked with capturing the tone and key ideas of the poems in their responses.

Wild Swans at Coole by Yeats – Short Film by Xavier John Nisbett

Xavier John Nisbett in Year 11 Advanced English, responded to Yeats ‘Wild Swans at Coole’ through a short film which captured the poet’s fear that poetic inspiration would leave him as he aged.

 

 

Noah Nakagawa’s Performing Webber’s Theresienstadt Lullaby

Noah Nakagawa in Year 10 responded with a musical rendition of Ilse Weber’s Holocaust poem ‘Theresienstadt Lullaby’ where he sought to capture the melancholy tone of the lyrics through a stripped back acoustic accompaniment.
