Food Technology and Hospitality Area
The Food Technology and Hospitality area has an air-conditioned theory room with projector and screen, together with a docking station to enable teachers to connect their notebooks to the College network.
The kitchen and practical area has the following facilities for six groups of four students:
- 6 colour-coded bays
- 3 gas and 3 electric stovetops and ovens
- Microwave
- Cutlery drawers
- Crockery
- Cake tins
- Saucepans
- Glass bowls
- Measuring jugs
- Cooking accessories
- Cleaning cupboard
The demonstration and preparation areas have the following:
- Commercial stainless steel work bench
- Gas stainless steel oven and stovetop
- Electric stove top and oven
- Salamander
- Deep fryer
- Fridge
- Microwave
- Washing machine
- Dryer
- Dishwasher
- Ironing station
- Small appliances including bamix, food processor, dehydrator, beaters, blenders, electric knives
- Change room with pigeon holes for toolkit storage
- Dedicated walk-in pantry and dry storage areas
