Senior Dance Workshops Years 9 and 10 – Apply by 11 April
The NSW Public Schools Senior Dance Workshops is a 3-day intensive workshop for students in Years 9 and 10. These workshops are an excellent opportunity for students to be involved in a challenging and stimulating dance education program. Tuition is provided by industry trained tutors and will focus on developing strength, technical ability and composition skills in a professional setting. Participation is open to dance students attending government and central schools in NSW.
State Junior and Senior Music Camps
- Junior Music Camp (Years 5-8): Sunday 21 July – Friday 26 July (week 1, Term 3)
- Senior Music Camp (Years 8-12): Sunday 30 June – Friday 5 July (week 10, Term 2)
Talented music students join together for one week each year to receive expert tutelage and develop their performance skills. Participants rehearse and perform high quality repertoire culminating in a concert for families and friends on the final night of the camp.
Musical activities at camp include participation in a major ensemble (symphony orchestra, symphonic bands, vocal ensembles, stage band) as well as a number of elective ensembles and activities. Elective activities include brass and woodwind ensembles, jazz improvisation, composition, music theatre, percussion ensemble.

Sydney Dance Company School Workshops
Delivered by Sydney Dance Company’s Teaching Artists, Creative Workshops are a unique opportunity to experience how the Company creates and performs new and original movement. Participants are guided through a contemporary technique warm up, taught a section of Sydney Dance Company choreography and challenged with a composition task from one of our productions.

The Community Achiever Program (CAP) was previously named the Early Achievers’ Program (EAP).
The program offers future students who are active in their community early entry to their undergraduate course of choice. It also provides opportunities to enhance leadership and volunteering skills.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) jobs are a key contributor to economic growth and national competitiveness. Yet STEM workers are perceived to be in short supply. This paper shows that the ‘STEM shortage’ phenomenon is explained by technological change, which introduces new job tasks and makes old ones obsolete.

Take a walking tour of Mount Stromlo Observatory and learn about one of Canberra’s oldest sites. Mount Stromlo Observatory has been carrying out astronomical observations for over 100 years and, prior to the 2003 firestorm, had grown from a small outpost of pioneering astronomers to one of the great observatories of the world.
